Tucked into the El Dorado National Forest along the scenic Wentworth Springs Road, Uncle Toms Cabin is a beloved Sierra Nevada hideaway perched above 4,000 feet elevation. The surrounding terrain is classic Northern California Gold Country meets high sierra – winding two-lane roads, towering ponderosa pines, and the kind of fresh mountain air that reminds you why you ride.

The area is flanked by the charming towns of Pollock Pines and Georgetown, with the Georgetown Divide offering some of the most rewarding canyon and ridge riding in the foothills. Uncle Toms is known for its fun, rustic atmosphere and its historic bar – a perfect spot to swap stories after a day in the saddle. While credit cards are accepted, cash is preferred, so hit an ATM before you arrive.

This campout is our Election Meeting – we are electing the President, Treasurer, Secretary & Historian. All members who have paid their dues are eligible to vote. Interested in running for one of these positions? Reach out to any Board member for more information.

️ Optional Catered Meal – $35 - Get a meal until June 19th

We are offering an optional catered meal SATURDAY ONLY at the campout for just $35 per person for members. Select this option when you register to secure your spot at the table. $45 per person for initiant members.

️ The Club Ride

We kick things off the right way – with a great breakfast and good company before pointing our bikes toward the Sierra foothills. From Sacramento, we wind our way up into the mountains, gaining over 13,000 feet of elevation across roughly 150 miles of twisty, scenic riding.

The Tower Cafe is a Sacramento classic, a lively and eclectic spot in the heart of the historic Tower District – perfect fuel before we hit the road. From there, the ride climbs steadily out of the valley floor and into the gold-flecked foothills, threading through canyons and ridge lines on the way to Wentworth Springs Road and Uncle Toms Cabin.

This year’s journey begins at Location to be revealed at the 49er Rally Closing Ceremony, with check-in opening at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 4th. From that moment on, it’s all throttle, connection, and discovery.

All street-legal motorcycles are welcome—no matter the brand—as long as they’re registered, insured, and ready to ride. Non-members are absolutely welcome to join the adventure, but must be sponsored by an active BMW NorCal club member. And if you ride a BMW, you’re eligible to become part of the BMW NorCal family with your registration.

This event is the heart and soul of what the club is all about: riding hard, camping out, and sharing the kind of experiences that remind you why you fell in love with the road.
